Sleepless Night with a good book

I am often guilty of not going to sleep or getting an adequate amount of sleep so I can finish a book. My husband does not like these night because I am usually quite cranky the next morning. Case in point today. I did not go to bed until well after three am so I could finish a book and today I am paying for it. But I have to say it was well worth it.
The book that caused my sleepless night was, Altered by Jennifer Rush.
I happened upon this book by accident, I was recently at my aunts house and noticed this book by cousins backpack. Intrigued by the cover I decide to read the dust jacket. It seemed like a good read but I am currently engrossed in the Fire and Ice series an decided to put it my book mind vault for later use. Unfortunately three days later I found myself still thinking about Altered so I cracked and downloaded it to my kindle. Here is the description of the book taken from amazon:

They were made to forget. But they'll never forgive.
Everything about Anna's life is a secret. Her father works for the Branch, at the helm of its latest project: monitoring and administering treatments to the four genetically altered boys in the lab below their farmhouse. There's Nick, solemn and brooding; Cas, light-hearted and playful; Trev, smart and caring; and Sam . . . who's stolen Anna's heart.

When the Branch decides it's time to take the boys, Sam stages an escape. Anna's father pushes her to go with them, making Sam promise to keep her away from the Branch, at all costs.
On the run, with her father's warning in her head, Anna begins to doubt everything she thought she knew about herself. She soon discovers that she and Sam are connected in more ways than either of them expected. And if they're both going to survive, they must piece together the clues of their past before the Branch catches up to them and steals it all away.

With out giving anything away, this book was totally captivating. A page turner. The story line flowed nicely. The story is from the pov of Anna one of the main characters.I instantly fell in line with her and her ups and down had me biting my nails one minute and broadly smiling the next. Needless to say I am on pins an needles waiting for the second installment to this wonderful book. If you are a fan of YA fiction I highly recommend it.

Well now it's back to Fire and Ice and those infamous Lanisters.
